But now, Lord, you are our father. we are the clay, and you are our potter. all of us are the work of your hand.

Isaiah 64:8

A little background:

I’m a wife to an amazing husband that I have known since kindergarten. I’m a mom to a beautiful little girl and a brand new baby boy. My favorite show is The Office and I have watched it at least 30 times from beginning to end. We have downsized to live in a tiny home on a start-up homestead and I have never been happier.

After leaving college full of grandiose ideas and a Bachelors’s degree in Fine arts, I found myself dissatisfied with life. I was working at Chick-fil-A while freelancing in Graphic Design and photography. There was a little voice inside of me that kept whispering that Graphic Design was not my calling, however after spending a good chunk of time and money on that major I was reluctant to try and explore my options. I slowly leaned into the photography side and eventually took a job as a Social Media Specialist/ Photographer/ Graphic Designer at a beauty company that seemed to check all the boxes on my perfect job. Let me just say, it definitely wasn’t.

It was an amazing job, with an amazing paycheck and while I tried my hardest to ignore the unhappiness it caused, I eventually realized it was not where God intended for me to be. I quit that job and left my life open for whatever came next. I am not even sure where I saw that a little studio in Pegram, TN were having pottery classes at an affordable price and I thought to myself “Hm, I always wanted to take a class in college, I might try it out. After the very first class, I was completely head over heels obsessed with it. I knew with every part of my being that this would be my business someday and immediately started investing in that vision. Now almost 3 years after that revelation, saving money, building inventory, setting up a studio, investing in a website - Thank God, it is finally coming to fruition.
